Chandrakhani Trek

This trek will take you all over the valley of the gods as Kullu is known as, this trek will help you in understanding the traditions of this place with giving you an opportunity to explore the wonders of nature.

This valley has been named the valley of Gods because thousands of years ago the presiding Deity of Malana was taking the Gods of Kullu in a basket and when he opened the basket a gale blew the Gods of Kullu all over the mountain tops and to there present resting places in there abodes, hence the name of this valley.

Itinerary

Day-1

We will be traveling from Delhi by train till Chandigarh and onwards to Manali by road. Stay will be in hotel.

Day-2

We will be driving to Naggar in the morning, the drive is 21 kilometers and from here we will trek to Rumshu(2184 meters) in 3 hours covering 4 kilometers, this trek will be warm up trek. Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-3

We will be trekking for 9 kilometers in 6 hours to the Chandrakhani pass (3660 meters). This trek will take us beyond the pass where we will have a wonderful view of the Spiti ranges and the Deo Tibba. Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-4

We will be trekking to Malna (2652 meters) covering 8 kilometers in 5 hours. Here we will be coming in contact with the locales with strict traditions and customs which we have to adhere to. Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-5

The trek today will cover 19 kilometers in 8 hours to Rasol (2698 meters) and will be the longest trek of this trip. The trek will give us a panoramic view of the Pin Parvati Range, the trek in itself will take us through some of the most breathtaking locales in this trek. Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-6

Today’s trek will take us to Kashol (1585 meters) while covering 9 kilometers in 5 hours. Kashol is set in a very picture perfect environment with white sand and the background of aiguilles. Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-7

We will trek to Jari in 3 hours covering 10 kilometers from here we will take the jeep to Bhuntar (900 meters). Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-8

We will be leaving for Delhi early in the morning from here.  

The tour is all inclusive.

We will provide porters and packed lunch.

The permits will be taken by us.

Important: get good walking shoes.

If you don’t have sleeping bags these will also be provided.
