Khatling glacier trek in Garhwal

We will be trekking through forests of Khair with lush grassy meadows as company; this trek will take us to the Khatling glacier which is the starting point of the Bhilangna River. There is a folk lore about this river, there was a young lady who wanted to get Lord Shiva’s attention while he was meditating with the consequence that she was turned into the river.

This lateral glacier has a back drop of Kirti Stambh(6902 meters),Sphetic Pristwar(6905meters), Jogin(6466 meters) and Barte Kauter(6579 meters). We will be trekking through high passes (17000 feet) and glaciers.

There are a couple of routes which can be taken from Khatling. The Bhilangna valley provides some awesome camping sites.
