Rupin Trek

The essence of this trek is that it will take you to the unexplored frontier of the Sangla valley, the trek is a must for the nature lover as the trek has all the trappings from conifer forests to alpine meadows with the mountain tops in the pictures background.

The trek will take you through Kinnaur and the Gharwal Valley through Rupin Pass (4625 meters) the trek is one of the most fascinating treks to go on as you will get a chance to visit the pristine environments of the Sangla Valley.

Duration:  13 Nights / 14 Days

Best Time:  Mid June to Mid Oct

Max Altitude:  4625 Meters



Departure from New Delhi to Mussorrie via Dehradun. We will have ample time for checking out this beautiful town known as Mussorrie. Stay will be in hotel.


We will be driving to Mori (1130 meters) from Mussorrie in 6 hours over 130 kilometers, this place is a small but a beautiful village situated on the river Tons and surrounded by a extraordinary pine forest all around. We will take a short trek to loosen up those muscles.
Stay will be in hotel.


The drive today will be towards Dhula where the road ends and the trek starts towards Sewa (2000 meters), we will be trekking for 4 hours and cover a distance of 8 kilometers approximately the trek will take us through thick jungle. Stay will be in tented accommodation.


We will be trekking towards Jiskon (2320 meters) over a period of 3 to 4 hours with the nature showing it’s true and beautiful colors all around us as we trek to our campsite. Stay will be in tented accommodation.


The trek today will be towards Jakha (2650 meters) we will trek for approximately 8 kilometers in around 4 hours through some very scenic country side. Stay will be in tented accommodation.


Today we will be trekking towards Saruwas Thach (3450 meters). We will be trekking for 8 kilometers over a time span of 6 hours while soaking in the atmosphere while we move through this fabulous country side. Stay will be in tented accommodation.


The trek will take us to Nuru (3600 meters) through the Rupin Pass (4625 meters). We will cover about 12 kilometers in 7 hours. We will have a fascinating view of the Kinnaur Kailash range from the pass; our decent from the pass will take us towards Nuru where there is plenty of grazing for the animals. Stay will be in tented accommodation.


Today will be the last day of the trek as we trek for 12 kilometers in 4 hours to reach Sangla (2650 meters) we will be taking the road out to our campsite. Stay will be in tented accommodation.


We will be exploring the valley of Sangla today, we will immerse our self in this place as we visit the locale villages and find out about the locale culture and traditions. Stay will be in tented accommodation.



The road will lead us to Shimla the capital of Himachal Pradesh. The drive is 236 kilometers in 10 hours. Stay will be in Hotel.


Today we will check out this popular tourist destination which was the summer capital of the British. We will be taking a guided tour of the city. Stay will be in Hotel.


We will leave for Chandigarh after breakfast. The distance covered will be 110 kilometers in 3 hours. This is the first planned city of this region with its wide roads and a lot of greenery. There will be a planned tour of the city. Stay will be in Hotel.


We will be driving to Delhi in the afternoon after catching some of the shopping fun in sector 17 of Chandigarh which is a shopper’s paradise. The drive will be for 250 kilometers in 5 hours. Stay will be in Hotel.


You will be taking a flight back to your destination.

The tour is all inclusive.

We will provide porters and packed lunch.

The permits will be taken by us.

Important: get good walking shoes.

If you don’t have sleeping bags these will also be provided.
