Subansari River Expedition

The river of gold is how Subansari is known as, this 506 kilometers long river starts in Tibet and runs through eastern Himalayas and enters India near Asaphila which is situated in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and onwards to Assam after which this River joins the Brahmaputra River at Majuli.

The challenge of this river is not only in its rapids but also in the surrounding terrain which is breathtaking. This river will challenge the rafter in you and also get you in touch with your wild side as you will raft through rapids with an amazing volume of water and flow which will jack up your adrenal, here you will be able to get in touch with the folks who are renowned for there hospitality, customs and traditions, you can also pan for gold dust here with the traditional equipment.

This river is open till September 2010 for all kinds of adventure sports which include rafting and Kayaking. So come and be a part of this vanishing experience.

Itenary


Day-1

You will be arriving in Delhi airport. Today you will be spending the evening time to explore the old part of this fascinating city. Stay will be in hotel.

Day-2

The flight will be to Dibrugarh which will be taken from the domestic terminal. We will explore this city and the surrounding area today Stay will be in hotel.

Day-3

We will cross the Brahmaputra River from the Boghiwheel Ghat in a ferry and then take the jeep ride to Pasighat. Stay will be in hotel.

Day-4

We will be driving to the Siang valley, till we the meet Sivom River after which we will go up the river to Along. The stay will be in a rest house.

Day-5

Today we will be taking a long drive through some of the most picturesque locales to the camp at Taliha. This drive will be 200 kilometers long with a break for packed lunch. Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-6

The day of starting out on the adventure is here, we will be driving from Taliha to our take off point, and the rafting will be to Sippi, this is a class 4 rapid which will take you through a beautiful jungle paradise. The stay will be in tented accommodation at Taliha.

Day-7

We will be rafting through a class 3 plus rapid filled with a superb gorge section. Accommodation will be in tents.

Day-8

The day of rafting will be through the heart of the forest which is unexplored and will have a lot of great photo opportunities, the class 4 rapids will take us past Daporijo onwards to our campsite. Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-9

The rafting today will take us through a great gorge section with a spectacular view, we will be rafting down to the confluence of the Kamla River with our Subansari River, the flow of water and its volume increases after the confluence which makes it great for rafting. Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-10

The last day for rafting is here, we will be rafting through some scenic places and the terrain will be some thing to die for, after encountering rapids we will come across floats till our camp site. Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-11

After finishing off and saying our good byes we will drive to Boghiwheel Ghat from where we will take a ferry to Dibrugarh. The day will be spent for relaxation. Stay will be in tented accommodation.

Day-12

We will be catching a flight from Dibrugarh to Delhi. The forward connection will be from Delhi. End of trip.


The trip is all inclusive.

Liquor and soft drinks are not included.

The stays will be in deluxe tents.

The equipment is top of the line with special emphasis on safety.

Our instructors our all fully qualified and certified from competent authorities.
